Tissue transplant

Tissue transplant: the transplant can be made with tissues from a dead or alive people. Unlike organ transplantation that you have to be in a waiting list for tissue transplant you just have to wait for the doctor to find the tissue you need in a tissue bank.

There are different tissues that can be transplanted:                                                                                                 

  • Osteotendinous tissue (bone, tendon, and other osteotendinous structures)

  • Corneas

  • Skin

  • Heart valves

  • Vascular segments (arteries and veins)

  • Cell cultures, chondrocytes, keratinocytes or myoblasts.
